Serving the Seed Industry Through Education. The Oregon Seed Growers League meets annually in December to discuss matters of technical importance to the Oregon Seed industry. More than 350 growers and industry representatives attend the two-day event. In addition, a trade show runs concurrently with the education program. I saw that the web page also stated " Grass seed is grown on approximately 400,000 acres in Oregon, 90 percent of which is located in the fertile Willamette Valley of Western Oregon." New Year, New Post, New Direction? The picture above was taken last summer during my first backpacking journey, a friend and I hiked 23 miles around beautiful Waldo Lake and this was one of the many small unnamed lakes that surround Waldo.
